Jake De Pinto is a New York-based video editor, director and writer.
Growing up, De Pinto was absolutely obsessed with the app PhotoBooth. Every single day, he made little videos on his family’s shared computer. He’d constantly max out the storage.
Those early days planted a seed, and he’s been obsessed with creating films ever since. His passion has grown into multidisciplinary experimentation, using video, photo and collage animation to blur the line between fiction and non-fiction.
De Pinto’s work explores magical realism, addiction and artistic process through the lens of relationships, often using himself and non-actors to tell his stories.
